This page features some of my campaign work at the IET: The Institution of Engineering and Technology. It is one of the biggest engineering charities in Europe, amassing over 160,000 members worldwide. Some of the many benefits they provide for both members and the engineering community are: professional registration, journals and books, regulations and events around the world. Here are some campaigns I have been a part of with my brand creative team, both B2B and B2C.
B2B Research Solutions (P1)
After brainstorming with my brand creative team (senior designer, brand creative executive and manager) we all came up with potential messaging for Research Solutions to help inspire the creative: Because your research matters.
My manager and I came up with 4 creative territories, taking inspiration from online; our overall brand identity is usually quite bright and clean, so we knew we wanted to do something different for this campaign. Research Solutions draws lots of important stakeholders and clients, so we wanted something that felt serious but also slightly out of the box using our brand colours, fonts and equals motif which is the IET's signifier. This is part 1 of our initial concepts which eventually got developed into a final creative by my senior designer which I implemented.into canva templates and will use for other deliverables in the near future.
Strengthscope
Strengthscope is a tool the IET use as a way of determining our strengths, weaknesses and energy drainers. I was tasked with coming up with a unique 'one off' creative for this campaign, which was projected onto TV screens all throughout our office building as well as used in corporate meetings.
I came up with a 'video game' idea, as I liked to think of strengths as 'power ups'. I used the set IET colours and tints, but went free rein on the pixel art which I created from scratch in Illustrator. This campaign had a very fast turnaround, and worked on it alone as my senior designer was away for a fortnight when this creative needed making.
