The aim of this project was to create an anniversary edition poster of a film celebrating its 25th anniversary that year. As a film buff, I chose Tarantino's classic 'Pulp Fiction'; I chose this as I knew there were a lot of iconic stills and imagery I could play around with.
I was inspired by the iconic 'Big Kahuna Burger' scene; as it was an anniversary poster, I wanted to try and use a more niche reference as most people who have watched the film will immediately recognise it. I took the photo of the burger myself (bite included) and used fake blood to help give the illusion of blood dripping from the meat.
On the left are my first few iterations of the poster. I initially had the poster in full-colour, however I later decided to just have the red hues showing to emphasise the blood, it is a Tarantino film after all.
